Lose 14 pounds with the food guide pyramid

Not every diet is practical for our children; behavioral nutritionist Dr. Sam Truman has the perfect plan, a safe and effective method you can understand and apply. According to Dr. Sam, one of the most successful ways is to follow the pyramid servings and decrease the non-essential fats and sugars in the diet. This will show your children how to control their caloric intake when they’re in school.

It is important to maintain healthy bones for our kids; therefore, we should feed them healthy foods just as we adults do, but add to their daily consumption an adequate amount of fat-free dairy products. The table below guides you to the healthy servings you should offer them.

The daily plan contains:

6 servings of grains 5 servings of vegetables and fruits 3 servings of dairy 5 ounces of lean meat
one slice of bread or ½ cup pasta equals one serving in general, ½ cup equals one serving one cup skim milk or 1½ ounce low-fat cheese equals one serving  

This way you should consistently lose one and one-half pounds per week as an active woman, which will easily total about fourteen pounds in three months.

My last point is to keep exercise in mind. Thirty minutes minimum three times a week will refresh your body and directly help you to lose pounds.
