  • Portions are important:

The best guide to determine your food and body proportion is to look at your hands; your food portions should be in proportion to your to your body size, and your body size should be in proportion to the size of your hand. So, when it comes to a weight loss program, take care of the portions as they relate to your hand.
This recommended rule of thumb is to know how to measure carbohydrates, high-fat and high-calorie food.

  • Set a hunger levels:

A good way to understand your body better is to know when you need to start eating and when you need to stop. For example, at level one you are slightly hungry, at level two you are hungry, at level three you are very hungry. When you set down to eat, monitor the level at which your hunger is becoming relieved and you are satisfied from food, and stop eating soon after you reach that level. It will take a while to completely understand your body, so do not become frustrated; just concentrate on your body, turn off the television, and push the newspaper away from the table, because you and your body are trying to understand each other. This is a great way to lose the fifteen pounds you hunger to lose.

  • Start walking:

Start with a ten-minute walking around the house, later increasing it to thirty minutes. This will get you closer to the weight loss goal. Also try to walk away from the table when you are full. Don't force yourself to eat another bite when you’re not hungry; it would produce a negative effect.

  • Filter your supply:

Open your kitchen cabinets and look inside your fridge. Get rid of one of every two found items you find to keep yourself away from food temptation. You’ll have a battle keeping yourself away from extra foods that harm your body. If you will do these things, getting rid of the fifteen pounds will be a piece of cake.

  • Trick your taste buds:
If you really wish to lose fifteen pounds, you have to know that it is not necessary for the food to contain a lot of calories to be tasty. You can substitute high calorie foods with low ones that have the same level of taste. For example, you can replace a big chocolate milk shake with another made with chocolate skim milk that tastes just as wonderful; by this you save a minimum of 250 calories. Your waistline will certainly change in few weeks.
